Background Information
The market is organized by the Cumberland Farmers’ Market Organizing Committee under the umbrella of the Cumberland Village Community Association (CVCA). Following the success of the Market's three date pilot in August of 2006, this community initiative has grown steadily with 13 dates in 2007, 18 in 2008, 19 in 2009 and 18 market days scheduled for 2010. The third edition of the Winter Christmas Market will be taking place on Saturday, December 3rd, 2011 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Cumberland Vilage Community Assocation
The CVCA was created in 1966, by descendants of pioneer families established in the area since the 1700s and new families attracted to the beauty and historical character of the Cumberland area, in order to protect and promote the needs and aspirations of the community and its residents. The CVCA has a special interest in pursuing initiatives that promote the area's rich rural history.
